mail problems with icloud: rules not syncing and phontom unchecking

Hi there,

Few problems with icloud

Firstly have checked all boxes in system preferences but everytime I close and then re-open systems preferences the "mail" option in the icloud on systems preferences is unchecked

Saying that I am still getting emails pushed to my ipad and iphone

However I set up some mail rules in the "mail"application on my macbook pro, mainly to sort emails into mailboxes dependent on sender - school friends go to school friends in box etc and these are working on the ipad and iphone. BUT mail will only be downloaded on these inboxes if I click on the "school friends" mailbox and open it

That measn it can look like at first glance I dont have any messages at all and I have to go through each one to get the email to be downloaded to the icloud

So my issues are

- phantom unchecking of mail prefence within systems prefences on mac

- mail "rules" work on iphone and ipad but mail isn't showing up until till I open up these separate mail boxes
